Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
YouTube asks for 1280×720 thumbnails (16:9) under 2 MB. This preset crops to 16:9 at exactly 1280×720; combine it with the JPG compressor if the file is still too large.
How it works
- Drop one or many images.
- Type a width, a height, a percentage, or pick a preset.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, so there is no size limit and it works offline once loaded.

Frequently asked questions
JPG or PNG for thumbnails?
JPG at quality 90 is almost always under 2 MB and looks identical. Use PNG only for flat graphics with few colours.
Is it really free and private?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser with open-source code; nothing is uploaded. No account, no watermark, no file-size limit other than your device's memory.
Will resizing make my image blurry?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger cannot invent detail: expect softness above about 150% of the original size.
Which format is the output?
The same as the input by default (JPG stays JPG). You can switch to JPG, PNG or WEBP in the options.
