Compress a video to email it
Shrink MP4 and MOV videos to a target size (for example 10 MB for Discord, 16 MB for WhatsApp) or a quality level, in your browser. Free and private.

Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Gmail and Outlook cap attachments at 25 MB (20 MB in some Outlook setups). This preset targets 20 MB so the message goes through. Runs on your device.
How it works
- Drop a video.
- Enter a target size or choose a quality, and optionally a maximum resolution.
- Compress and download.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, so there is no size limit and it works offline once loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Why 20 MB and not 25?
Email encodes attachments in Base64, which adds about 33%. A 20 MB file becomes roughly 27 MB on the wire, right at the limit, so 20 MB is the safe target.
Is it really free and private?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser with open-source code; nothing is uploaded. No account, no watermark, no file-size limit other than your device's memory.
How long does it take?
Roughly real time or faster on a laptop: a 1-minute 1080p clip takes about 30–90 seconds. Phones are slower. The engine is downloaded once (about 30 MB) and cached.
Will the quality drop?
Compressing to a small target from a large file will show softness in fast motion. Reducing resolution to 720p first usually looks better than a very low bitrate at 1080p.
