Compress a PDF to under 200 KB
Shrink PDF files for email and upload limits. Two modes: lossless clean-up, or strong compression of scanned pages. Private, free, in your browser.

Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Exam registrations, visa forms and scholarship portals often require documents under 200 KB. Scans and photographed pages are the usual culprits; this preset re-encodes them to fit, entirely in your browser.
How it works
- Drop your PDF files.
- Pick lossless or strong, and a target size if you have a limit to meet.
- Compress and download.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, so there is no size limit and it works offline once loaded.
Common situations
Frequently asked questions
Will a 20-page scan fit under 200 KB?
Usually yes at reduced resolution, but each page gets about 10 KB, so expect visibly softer text. If the portal accepts more than one file, split the PDF first and compress each part.
Is it really free and private?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser with open-source code; nothing is uploaded. No account, no watermark, no file-size limit other than your device's memory.
Will text stay selectable?
In lossless mode, yes. Strong mode rasterizes pages, so text becomes an image; use it for scans and photo documents, not for text you need to copy.
Why is my PDF not getting smaller?
Because it is mostly text and vectors, which are already compact. Only images have room to shrink.
